Junior Avalanche
Club Fees & Commitment
Overview
The Junior Avalanche Volleyball Club season runs from January to May. Teams practice 2–3 times per week and implement a physical training program. Tournaments are typically held on weekends, with teams traveling to compete across Alberta, nationally, and/or internationally.
At Junior Avalanche, we are dedicated to preparing athletes for all aspects of high-performance training and competition, and we want families to have a clear understanding of what our fees include.
Our club fees are designed to support competition, training, athlete development, apparel, travel assistance, and high-quality coaching.
Commitment
We expect all athletes to attend practices regularly, as growth and improvement come from consistent effort and commitment. Showing up builds trust, confidence, and progress. If an athlete is unable to attend a practice, we appreciate advance communication, and we ask that each athlete arrives prepared, focused, and ready to make the most of every session.
Junior Avalanche Teams participate in 5 main events:
Volleyball Alberta Premiers 1, 2 & 3
Volleyball Alberta Provincials
Volleyball Canada Nationals
We expect our athletes to be in attendance at each of these tournaments. Once the schedule comes out from VA please mark your calendars!
We celebrate well-rounded athletes and the value of participating in multiple sports. Open, proactive communication helps everyone succeed. Athletes with other commitments are encouraged to connect with coaches early in the season so we can work together on a plan that supports their goals and development.
